Crypto.com Launches Amy: A Chat-GPT-Based AI Assistant

The crypto exchange’s newly launched AI assistant will share industry insights, real-time token price details, and crypto news and events with the users.

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly taking over the world, not to mention the crypto world in general. With innovations and AI-based solutions, the same old tasks that humans did themselves are being automated with AI solutions.

The wide use of ChatGPT clearly indicates how rapidly AI-based solutions are taking over the world. From writing to developing and much more, ChatGPT is the go-to solution for many companies today.

One of the popular Web 2.0 applications that have integrated AI technology is Snapchat, which now features its Chatbot AI called Snap Bot. Shopify is another example of a platform that has integrated ChatGPT into its features as a shopping assistant.

The world of AI has expanded extensively, way beyond these few examples. And if we come to the Web 3.0 metaverse, the use of this technology is even more vast, with different projects using AI to introduce new solutions for users.

Crypto.com, a similar platform, announced the launch of ‘Amy’ on May 2.

The new AI companion for the crypto exchange is designed to educate customers about the crypto industry, including real-time token pricing and projects, historical events, and more. Amy, which uses ChatGPT as its foundation, is now in the pilot phase to “gather learnings” before future expansion.

According to Abhi Bisarya, executive vice president of products at Crypto.com, the company is “bullish” on using AI in cryptocurrency.

In a conversation with Cointelegraph, he said:

“As with other businesses and sectors, we see incredible potential and opportunity in the convergence of AI with the crypto industry and our platform specifically.”

Furthermore, although these are the “early days” of generative AI, a Crypto.com spokesperson told Cointelegraph that if done responsibly, there is the potential for “massive positive implications” for many industries.

But this isn’t all of Crypto.com’s efforts to expand its user services and features.

Instead, Amy is the latest in a string of significant and exciting product launches from Crypto.com, including UpDown Options from Crypto.com, its first on-chain staking solution for the Crypto.com Exchange for users in certain jurisdictions, and the GEN 3.0 Crypto.com Exchange.

This recent wave of advancements, especially in the AI sector, has allowed Crypto.com to join the ranks of other Web 3.0 platforms, successfully integrating AI into their features.
