“Infinite Machine,” an NFT Film tapping in Metaverse with Decentraland and Lumiere

To understand the scale of growth for the NFT industry, consider a complete NFT film focused on the metaverse. Versus Entertainment with Decentraland and Lumiere is developing an NFT film with metaverse-focused angles that will focus on the founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin.

The movie is adapted from Camilia Russo’s book with the same title and will be produced by Ridley Scott, an acclaimed director’s production company Scott Free. The movie will dive into the life of Buterin and the story behind the second-largest cryptocurrency, Ether.

Russo, the author of the original book, mentioned, “We believe Ethereum is enabling a world where users and audiences are now owners and participants, and so ‘The Infinite Machine’ film itself should be part of that movement and enable the Ethereum community to participate in the creation of a film about the platform,”

Decentraland & Lumiere

Decentraland, one of the most popular metaverse, and Lumiere, a Hong Kong and Singapore-based entertainment specialist, are supporting the project by integrating and developing the experience of the film into the Decentraland metaverse.

We are really proud that a company such as Lumiere and as important a film as ‘The Infinite Machine,’ have chosen Decentraland to build their experience to interact with its community fan base,” said Alejandro De Grazia of Decentraland. “The link between movies, their communities, and the metaverse is already happening.”

“This is a case that can transform how the entire industry develops and promotes its content to its fans and audiences,” said Lumiere CEO Patrice Poujol.

The movie has a budget of $16 million and is expected to undergo its third round of NFT issuance in the upcoming months to help the project become the first-ever NF T-financed movie. To support this sale, there are 10,4999 NFTs in the collection from 36 different artists, including popular artists such as Marella Gonzalez, Lucas Riberio, and Eduardo Calegari.
