Nike Sold an NFT Sneaker for $134,000
The popular sports brand Nike in April released its first collection of virtual sneakers, Cryptokicks, that included 20,000 NFTs, including a few designed by the artist Takashi Murakami. One of these sneakers was brought by a collector named AliSajwani for $134,000.
This NFT collection marked the first entry into the market and was also its first release with the company RTFKT, which Nike bought in December last year.
Mariah Carey Enters the NFT Industry
The popular musician and performer Mariah Carey has entered the crypto space with the launch of her first NFT collection. The NFT asset is a spinning boarding pass in Carey’s signature “pink yet lavender” and will give the holder an opportunity to meet Carrey and fly with her on a private jet to New York. The winner will also get to sit with Carey at her table during her induction ceremony to the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Johnny Depp Ethereum NFTs Surge After the Actor’s Win
Recently the defamation suit of Johnny Depp against Amber Heard has taken over the internet. After the verdict where Depp won the case, his NFT collection called “Friends and Heroes” on OpenSea saw a surge in popularity.
The NFT collection features artwork by the actor himself and is now selling at the floor price of 0.52 ETH.
Prada Joins the NFT Wave
The luxury brand Prada recently unveiled its first solo Ethereum-based NFT collection. The NFT collection with 100-Ethereum Based NFTs will correspond to the Prada’s Timecapsule collection and will be assigned a physical gender-neutral shirt.
“ Each Timecapsule drop will be linked to both a gender-neutral physical product and a gifted NFT, a GIF of the capsule video which represents the digital version of the physical item.” told the designer Cassius Hirts.
