PGA TOUR and Autograph will co-create an NFT Platform for Fans to Own Moments of Golf History

The PGA Tour has collaborated with Autograph, the web3 brand co-founded by Tom Brady with Tiger Woods on the Advisory Board, to develop a comprehensive “digital collectibles” NFT platform. According to the team, the project will revolutionize golf love by allowing fans to commemorate their passion for the game by owning a piece of its illustrious history.

The PGA TOUR will collaborate with Autograph on developing a digital collectibles platform based on TOUR competition footage, statistics, images, and other competition-related components. Golf fans can purchase and collect NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) depicting the world’s finest PGA TOUR golfers and some of their favourite moments from the archives and the current FedExCup Season.

Furthermore, collectors will have the opportunity to earn prizes with a wide variety of value, such as access to unique digital, in-person, and onsite experiences and other program perks.

“Enhancing the golf world with NFTs will create a connection between us as players and the fans,” Woods said in a press release announcing the deal.

“Over the last year, we have defined the future of fandom by leveraging NFT technology to bring fans closer to the icons they love across sports, music, and entertainment and each other,” said Richard Rosenblatt, co-founder and co-chairman of the board at Autograph.

According to the news announcement, Autograph is an NFT platform whose objective is to “better connect fans to the things they love.” Its Board of Directors includes FTX founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and The Weeknd. It has overseen NFT drops in collaboration with many notable sports legends, including Wayne Gretzky, Simone Biles, Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Naomi Osaka, Usain Bolt, and Tony Hawk. All of them also serve on the company’s Board of Advisors.

The PGA TOUR engages, inspires, and positively benefits our fans, partners, and communities worldwide by presenting golf’s best players.

The PGA TOUR, based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, co-sanctions tournaments on the PGA TOUR, the PGA TOUR Champions, the Korn Ferry Tour, the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, and the PGA TOUR Canada. PGA TOUR’s members are the world’s greatest players, hailing from 28 nations and territories other than the United States (90 international members).
