Playboy enters the Metaverse with The Sandbox – MetaMansion

The globally recognized, iconic lifestyle and entertainment brand Playboy has collaborated with the leading Metaverse developer and gaming project The Sandbox to create “MetaMansion”. MetaMansion is a metaverse experience in the Sandbox packed with several exciting features for the community. 

According to the official blog published by The Sandbox, The MetaMansion will feature gaming, programmed events, social play, and ongoing digital collectibles (NFT) releases, which will leverage Playboy’s vast content library to incorporate Playboy’s iconic influencer and talent network. The metaverse will also bring forward Playboy’s coveted fashion style and host must-attend live experiences in the metaverse. 

While Playboy has already entered the Web3 space in 2021 by launching its genesis NFT collection called Liquid Summer, MetaMansion will mark the entry of Playboy into the metaverse with the help of The Sandbox. Moreover, in October 2021, Playboy also released its first major NFT collectibles project Playboy Rabbitars. 

Now, the owners of Rabbitars and The Sandbox LAND will gain access to special experiences in Playboy’s branded experience in The Sandbox. 

Rachel Webber, the Chief Brand and Strategy Officer at Playboy, said, “We’re thrilled to work with The Sandbox and its best-in-class design and development team to build a premium, customized Playboy gaming and social experience in the metaverse.” She added, “We can’t wait to invite our global Playboy fanbase and in particular our Rabbitar community and The Sandbox LAND owners, into this new immersive world of Playboy.”

Playboy has been one of the leaders in bringing groundbreaking experiences to the gaming, entertainment, art, and celebrity industry. This partnership with The Sandbox will help the brand dominate the Web3 space as well. 

 Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, said, “Playboy is emblematic for its charm, lifestyle, and entertainment content that has transcended generations and that has already stepped into Web3 with early success.” He further added, “We’re pleased to bring its rich archive of content into the metaverse and enable true fans to become virtual neighbors of this iconic brand during a future upcoming LAND sale in Q3 2022.”
